Green Works Fabrication opened their full-service fabrication shop in September 2021.  Owner/Operator Daniel Green worked in the welding fabrication industry for 22 years as a welder, fitter, project manager, and drafter. After 13 years of working on the road living out of hotels for subcontractors, and then another 9 years working for a local craft brewery, the decision was made to leave Corporate America behind and start a fabrication shop.  Daniel loves to design and build; the shop has created the opportunity to meet a lot of interesting people and build some cool stuff.  Owner/Manager Linda Green works in the shop office and likes to dabble in stained glass in the shop when time permits.

The shop has allowed our family to work together more closely.  Our older boys have both grown up and moved out, one is in the military, the other is a newlywed.  Both boys grew up helping their dad in the garage building his wheeling rig, gates, jungle gyms, sprinklers, workout equipment, and other projects that came up.  They both helped in the shop in between going to school and their part-time jobs when it was first opened as shop hands before they went off to pursuit their current careers.  That leaves us with our two girls who equally love to help their dad in the shop.  Our older daughter helped hang all the lights in the shop, used the mag drill to drill holes in one of the fab tables, is great at helping keep the work area clean, and has her own tools and toolbox.  Our youngest daughter learned how to walk the same time we opened the shop and has been toddling around the shop and climbing up stools and ladders to “help” dad as much as she can.  She’s a good helper but is often found napping in the office in the afternoon covered in soot tuckered out from a hard day of work. Both girls are often found sitting at a fab table “drafting” designs, building something on the floor, or sitting on a fab table with a welding hood on watching their dad weld.
